Every Synthesis amplifier has hand wound transformers that are specially wound to 250 Volts for Australian conditions. This is critical, as what comes out of wall normally is nowhere near the 230-240 Volts specified by our government. We measured ours recently at 254 Volts! Most valve amplifiers have 230V transformers, when you input a high wall voltage into them it can dramatically affect sound quality and more importantly reliability.
